Ashita Gona

Ashita is a Senior Associate on RMI’s Carbon-Free Buildings team, where she works with stakeholders in the Mid-Atlantic to transition the region’s buildings away from fossil fuels. Ashita brings a strong communications background to her work, having previously worked at Climate Nexus promoting building electrification in the news media. She has also worked as an environmental journalism fellow, as an intern at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, and as a freelance writer. Ashita holds a B.A. in Media and Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a M.S. in Energy Policy and Climate from Johns Hopkins University.
