According to a March news update from Gallup Polls, "seventy-three percent of Americans say they prefer emphasizing alternative energy, rather than gas and oil production, as the solution to the nation's energy problems." This is the highest response for alternative energy since the poll was started in 2011. This demonstrates a broader understanding of climate change and our need to implement sustainable solutions. At the ECA, we have always promoted "hardware and the head" as the two primary tools to address climate change and energy use. The word, "hardware" speaks to the rapid improvements in technology that have enabled alternative energy solutions to increase market share; the "head" speaks to our collective ability to re-engage the world around us within a sustainable framework.
