Weatherization Assistance Program Certification

Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) Certification

All auditors, crew leaders and installers, regardless of whether the individual is an employee of an agency or a contractor or sub-contractor acting on behalf of an agency, will be required to have specific Pennsylvania weatherization certifications to perform state approved weatherization work in Pennsylvania. ECA offers the courses required for this certification for both new, entry-level employees and existing workers.

Entry-Level Weatherization Training for State WAP Certification

The training will teach entry level skills: an introduction to residential energy efficiency, basic carpentry, air sealing, insulation, and heater maintenance. After completing this training, participants will be qualified to work for the Weatherization Assistance Program, contractors, and other companies working to increase energy efficiency in homes.
If you're interested in the entry-level training, please call the CareerLink Hotline at 215.557.2625 to register for classes. For Questions or Registration Information, Contact ECA at 215.609.1450 or sherleenl@ecasavesenergy.org
