ECA Held an EnergyWorks Seminar for Contractors
On the morning of Thursday July 15th, ECA hosted a free information session for contractors on Philadelphia’s EnergyWorks program.
The information session introduced approximately 70 contractors from the area to the Philadelphia region’s EnergyWorks Program, funded by a $25 million grant from the US Department of Energy.
Speakers included ECA’s Executive Director Liz Robinson, the Manager of EnergyWorks Jack Strong, ECA's Director of Training Walter Yakabosky, PECO's Eden Harvest, and AFC First Financial's President Peter Krajsa and Vice President Jeff Gatter. The information session served as an opportunity for contractors to learn about the program's operation and provide input.
The EnergyWorks Program will offer homeowners rebate, tax incentives, and low-interest loans to help them save significant amounts of energy and money. Homeowners who complete a BPI certified energy audit of their home and invest $1,000 or more on energy efficiency improvements will qualify for a $300 rebate on the audit. ECA will be managing the Residential EnergyWorks program working with Keystone HELP Loans and certified contractors and auditors to serve all five counties: Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware.
