COMPACT FLUORESCENT
LIGHT FIXTURES

When you use ENERGY STAR lighting you not only save energy but money on your utility bill. On the average, Americans spend about $90 a year, or 10 – 15 percent of their annual electric bill, on lighting…mostly due to inefficient fixtures and bulbs. ENERGY STAR labeled fixtures cost less than half as much to operate compared with traditional models. And Compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) used in place of standard incandescent bulbs save 75 percent or up to $100 over the life of the bulb.

CFLs last 6 – 10 longer than a comparable incandescent bulb. Today’s CFLs provide a truer and more natural color without flicker, hum or buzz. In addition to their reliability, CFLs are also cooler to the touch
