To improve the energy efficiency of existing doors and windows and eliminate uncomfortable drafts, use caulk to seal cracks around window and door frames. ‘Rope’ caulk should be used to seal air leaks between sashes and other moving parts of windows. Rope caulk can be easily removed to allow the windows to be opened if desired.
